Creamy Cheesy Pasta is simple to make pasta with a cheesy and creamy sauce. You can add vegetables of your choice and adjust the spicy level as desired.

Serves: 4
Cooking Time: 25 to 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fusilli pasta or your favourite pasta
  • 8 cups of water to boil pasta
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil for boiling pasta
  • a pinch of salt for boiling pasta (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 100 grams of mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon whole wheat flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry red chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian-style herb blend
  • 1/4th cup of chopped black or green olives
  • 1/2 cup of chopped bell peppers
  • 1/4th cup of corn kernels
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter for tossing vegetables
  • salt to taste

Procedure

Boiling Pasta

  • Boil 8 cups of water in a pan with half a teaspoon oil and a pinch of salt.
  • Once the water has boiled, add two cups of pasta to it and boil until pasta are soft.
  • Strain the pasta and keep aside.

Sauce

  • In a pan, add two tablespoons of unsalted butter. Once the butter melts and starts bubbling, add the whole wheat flour or all-purpose flour. Whisk the flour using a wire whisk so that no lumps are formed.
  • Once the flour turns into a pale golden colour. Lower the flame and add the cream and milk to the pan.
  • Boil on a lower flame for 3 to 4 minutes and keep stirring it continuously.
  • Add the cheese and keep stirring it continuously and boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Add black pepper powder, dry red chilli flakes and Italian-style herb blend.
  • Turn off the flame and add salt to taste.

Pasta with vegetables

  • In a pan, add 1 teaspoon of butter.
  • Once the butter starts melting and bubbling, add the bell peppers, corn kernels and olives and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add the prepared sauce and cooked pasta. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Pasta is ready to serve. Enjoy it hot.
